Android Studio 2.1.2 - Exiting - Reentering App Issue

I just updated android studio to version 2.1.2 and started getting the weirdest bug.

A problem started appearing where after pressing the Overview button, and reentering the app more than once. Going out and going back in the first time, the app would resume with the normal onResume calls ect., but, after doing it again, the app would reenter and freeze, or just disappear and fly off the screen, but remain open, detached from the debugger. Eventually a request to close the app would appear, as if there was some looping issue.

I tried different gradle builds with 2.1.2.

I reverted back to android studio 2.1.1, and the problem went away from my builds.

Has anybody else experienced this problem, and does anybody know of a solution?
